Marcasite or “white iron pyrite” is a pale yellow to almost white pyrite with a bright metallic luster. The Marcasite is encased in a quartz matrix. This specimen has pyrite dendrites through the entire cabochon.

The stone is a rare medium height piece with a highly pyrite included field across a black and dark-yellow milky quartz matrix. The stone is cut in a skewed Navette or Marquise with both a lower and upper girdle to facilitate easy stone setting. The specimen is polished to a high vitreous luster.

The cabochon is ideal for a pendant, cuff, bracelet, broach and/or statement piece setting.
