Lepidolite is a rare lavender colored, lithium-rich mica mineral. When impregnated with quartz, Lepidolite is used as a semi-precious gemstone. It may at times also be found in the colors of pink, light red or purple.This stone is a one-of-a-kind medium height piece with lavender plumes of Lepidolite on one half of the stone and a mixture of Quartz and Albite on the other half. The stone is cut in an Oval with both an upper and lower girdle to facilitate setting the stone. The cabochon is polished to a high vitreous luster.

The cabochon is ideal for a pendant and/or smaller statement piece.

In this specimen, the white is the mineral Albite, the lavender is Lepidolite the speckles are Mica and the milky area is quartz.
