Lepidolite is a rare lavender colored, lithium-rich mica mineral. When quartz is present, Lepidolite may be used as a semi-precious gemstone. It may at times also be found in the colors of pink, light red or purple.This stone is a one-of-a-kind medium height piece with lavender plumes of Lepidolite and a few white dashes of Albite across a milky quartz field. The stone is cut in an Oval with both an upper and lower girdle to facilitate setting the stone. The cabochon is polished to a high luster.

In this specimen, the white is the mineral Albite, the lavender is Lepidolite the speckles are Mica and the milky area is quartz.

The cabochon is ideal for a pendant and/or smaller statement piece.
