Mexican Crazy Lace Agate is found exclusively in the area known as Chihuahua, located in Northern Mexico. Crazy Lace is known for its stunning fortified patterns and bands of colors. The agate gets its color from infused iron and aluminum.
A fancy hand cut and polished semi-precious cabochon made from Laguna Crazy Lace rough. As with all crazy lace, the stone is a one-of-a-kind piece of art with a fortified shades of orange and brick red bands over a cream and grey fortified background field. The stone has two very small open druse pockets near the apex point; one at the center and the other just off the center. The cabochon is cut in a Pear with both a lower and upper girdle to facilitate easy setting. The specimen is polished to a high vitreous luster.
The cabochon is ideal for a pendant, broach, cuff and/or statement piece setting.
