Due to the vibrant black, red, orange, yellow, purple and even strikingly white, Arizona Rainbow Petrified Wood is often referred to "rainbow wood" or "pet wood".

A hand cut and polished semi-precious cabochon made from Arizona Rainbow Petrified Wood. This particular piece is cut parallel to the original trees rings displaying colors of moss orange, moss light-yellow with dark-orange. The stone is cut in an Oval with both an upper and lower girdle to facilitate easy stone setting. The specimen is polished to a high vitreous luster.

The cabochon is ideal for a pendant, broach and ring.
